Sales and ServiceAs Chief Revenue Officer at Compare Power, I get to sit at the intersection of a genuinely complex market and a very human problem: people just want fair, understandable electricity prices without the runaround. Right now, that also means building out our next chapter, turning Compare Power into a multi-product sales organization, building predictable revenue lines, and growing our footprint beyond Texas. Knowing our work translates directly into real savings for real people directly and through our Partner networks is what keeps me pushing our team to be better every day. Outside of work, I'm usually at the gym, in the pool, or in the kitchen cooking something for my wife and family. Since moving to Texas, I've lost 100 pounds and I'm in the best shape of my life, still working to top myself daily. I'm also a lifelong music guy, EDM and old school hip-hop have been on rotation for me for a few decades now. That same drive to keep improving carries over to how I spend my downtime. I'm a lifelong learner, I've logged nearly 40 days of audiobooks over the years, mostly business leader biographies and personal development.

ProductI founded Compare Power because shopping for electricity in Texas is harder than it should be, and that bothers me. A genuinely complex market with a very solvable customer problem at its center. Every day I come to work knowing we're making a real difference for real people, and we're still just scratching the surface of what's possible. That keeps the fire raging. When I'm not here, I'm somewhere else entirely...usually on purpose. I travel for culture and food more than anything. Give me an authentic local meal, a neighborhood nobody told me about, and something to learn, and I'm a happy man. I'm also working toward my private pilot license and I scuba dive, so the long- term plan is to fly myself somewhere incredible, jump in the ocean, and find the best restaurant within walking distance of the shore. Ellie, my Schnoodle, is less enthusiastic about all three hobbies.

OperationsI love that I can have real impact on the company's growth and bottom line. I work closely with our suppliers to bring better offers to market and helping Texans save money on their electricity while generating strong returns for the business. I thrive in our collaborative environment, where we're all working toward shared goals and finding ways to innovate at every step. Outside of work, I love spending time with my family – trying new restaurants, watching movies, and taking my son to fun places. I'm also a passionate traveler; I've explored many countries around the globe and plan to keep adding to the list.

GrowthI came to Compare Power to build. Shopping for electricity in Texas is genuinely hard — the most competitive power market in the country, and most people navigate it by guessing. That's a solvable problem, and solving it well is worth doing. What keeps me here is the range of the work: in a single week I'm in the product, in the P&L, and across the table from a partner, and it all ships fast. I like building the thing that doesn't exist yet — a business, a channel, a partnership — and staying on it until it's real and it's growing. Outside of work, my life is my wife, two young kids and a dog, so I don't get much quiet anymore. I grew up in California and spent most of my adult live in New York City before moving the family to Dallas this summer. I'm a diehard LA sports fan — Lakers, Dodgers, Rams, the whole slate — which means I'm holding the line in Cowboys country. I cook — pasta that would make your nonna blush and tacos that would make your abuela cross herself. And I'm a diehard LA sports fan, which means I'm holding the line in Cowboys country.

Developer
As a software developer at ComparePower, I get to work on something that matters: helping the people of Texas get the best price on a basic essential like electricity. Add in a tech-savvy CEO who leads from the front, a team where I have real freedom to build, and plenty of nerdy tech conversations — and the mindset is simple: genuinely care about what you ship. Outside of work, I'm still a builder at heart — PC builds, pet projects, and DIY around the house all have my attention. When I'm not building, I'm watching sports, with wrestling being a longtime favorite. I'm proudest when a project that had no business working actually comes together.

Texas electricity is a complicated market, and most people just want the lights to work without getting overcharged for the privilege. I like that our partner program gets people to us through someone they already trust, movers, agents, PropTech platforms, so they end up finding Compare Power and avoiding a bad plan instead of just stumbling into one. Showing up every day to work alongside some of the best in the business, and never settling for good enough, is what keeps me going. We're still early on how far this can go, which is the fun part. You can usually find me at a baseball game (go Rangers), a live music event, or cheering on one of my future track and cross country stars. I love to travel and hit up stadiums when I can too. My big family of kids and bonus kids keeps me busy, along with our two corgis, Princess Daisy and Corgi Seager.

I joined Compare Power because of the innovative and customer-focused strategy for empowering our Texas-based clients by giving them the autonomy to select an energy plan with dignity. My professional aspirations of developing long-term inside the organization and growing into a more Senior mentor are enhanced by being a part of an atmosphere where our mission is single-handedly altering the electrical landscape. In addition to my career, I spend my days fathering my newborn son. As a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated., I serve as a community mentor for teenagers, specifically grades 7 through 12. Socially, I enjoy vintage thrifting at Dallas’ Streetwear Market, recreational basketball, and further adding to my sneaker collection.

I love working at Compare Power because I get to be the go-to person that people can count on. Whether it's helping a coworker, keeping the office running smoothly, or solving unexpected problems, I enjoy making everyone's day a little easier. I take pride in staying organized, being dependable, and creating a positive environment where people feel supported. Outside of work, I love exploring Dallas and trying new restaurants, especially hidden speakeasies and fine dining spots. I'm always looking for new places to experience and enjoy seeing everything the city has to offer. One thing I'm especially proud of is how much I've grown professionally. Taking on new challenges and becoming someone my team can rely on has been one of my biggest accomplishments, and it motivates me to keep learning and improving every day.

I came to Compare Power because I wanted to build, not maintain. This industry has settled for the status quo for too long, and there's a real opportunity to do something Texans haven't seen before, not just in energy, but in how people navigate the services that run their homes and businesses. That's what gets me up in the morning: knowing the systems and processes I'm building today are helping real people cut through the noise and actually come out ahead. Outside of work, I'm usually building or fixing something. Over the past two years, that's meant stripping a house down to the studs and bringing it back to life, inside and out, one room at a time. The next project is already taking shape. When I'm not knee-deep in sawdust, you'll usually find me rock climbing, hiking, or traveling somewhere remote to explore places most people never get to see. When the weather doesn't cooperate, I'm at the local pool hall working on my game. Whether it's work or a weekend project, building things is at the core of who I am.

I enjoy working at Compare Power because every day is an opportunity to help people make informed decisions and save money on something essential. Being part of a team that values transparency, customer service, and making the energy shopping experience simple is what makes my work meaningful. I'm driven by the opportunity to make a positive impact, whether that's solving a customer's problem, finding a better solution, or continuously improving the experience for those we serve. Outside of work, I enjoy crafting, going to new music shows, and spending time with my family. One accomplishment I'm especially proud of is continuously reaching high metrics, as it reflects my dedication, perseverance, and commitment to reaching my goals.

Ryan Hatch
Senior Director of Supplier Relations
As Senior Director of Supplier Relations and Operations, what keeps me engaged is that the work has a direct impact on the people we serve. My job is to make sure that when someone comes to us, the options in front of them are accurate, fair, and genuinely in their interest. Give me a messy problem, a pile of data, and a "why is this number wrong?" and I'm in my element. Whether I'm strengthening our provider relationships or refining how the marketplace runs, the goal is the same: a smoother, more trustworthy experience for every customer. What drives me is getting it right, and I'll chase a problem to its root cause until the solution actually works for the people relying on it. Outside of work I'm usually chasing a different kind of "get it right"...over a smoker. I love recreating restaurant dishes at home and tinkering until they're better than the original, whether it's ribs, brisket, queso, sourdough bread, or tres leches. Same goes for DIY projects and figuring out how things work; if something's broken or I don't understand it yet, that's the fun part. The thing I'm proudest of is that I never assume I can't do something. I'll research it, test a few approaches, and stick with it until it clicks, and that stubborn streak has served me well at a keyboard and at the smoker alike. But the best part of my life outside of work is easy to name: I'm a father of four, and there's nothing I'd rather do than spend time with them and watch them grow.

Why I Love Working at Compare Power I love working at Compare Power because I believe every conversation is an opportunity to make someone’s day a little easier. Behind every phone call is a real person, a real family, and a real situation they are trying to navigate. Energy costs can be confusing and overwhelming, and I love being the person who can bring clarity, patience, and a sense of relief. For me, this job is about more than just helping someone choose a plan. It’s about listening, understanding what matters to them, and making sure they feel confident in the decision they’re making. I want every customer to feel like they weren’t just another call—I want them to feel heard and valued. That’s what makes Compare Power special to me. It gives me the opportunity to do what I naturally love: connect with people, solve problems, and make a positive impact one conversation at a time. What Drives My Work Excellence My motivation comes from something much bigger than a paycheck. It comes from the life I’m building for my children and the example I want to set for them. I’ve learned that showing up with consistency, integrity, and a good attitude matters—even on the days when life feels heavy. I believe your character shows in the way you handle the small things, which is why I take pride in being thorough, honest, and dependable in everything I do. I’m someone who loves details. I don’t like leaving people confused or feeling rushed. I enjoy taking the time to break things down, explain options clearly, and make sure someone truly understands before making a decision. To me, trust is earned, and the best customer experiences come from genuinely caring about the person on the other end of the conversation. A Little About Me I’m 29 years old, and my three children are my biggest motivation and my greatest blessing. They are my “why.” Everything I do is with the goal of creating a future where they know they are loved, supported, and capable of achieving anything they set their minds to. My journey hasn’t always been easy. I lost my mom when I was 19, and that was a moment that changed my life forever. I had to learn how to navigate adulthood, challenges, and responsibilities without the person I thought would always be there to guide me. I had to become my own support system and learn how to keep moving forward, even when things felt uncertain. I’ve faced difficult seasons, moments of heartbreak, financial struggles, and times where I had to dig deeper than I ever thought possible. But those experiences taught me something important: challenges don’t define us—they teach us what we’re capable of. Every obstacle I’ve overcome has made me more compassionate, more patient, and more determined. It’s helped me understand that everyone is carrying something we may not see, which is why I approach people with kindness and empathy. Today, I’m not just working toward success for myself. I’m building a legacy for my children. I want them to look back and know that their mom never gave up, never stopped believing, and always found a way forward. I bring that same determination, resilience, and heart into my work every day. I believe the best is still ahead, and I’m grateful to be part of a company where I can continue growing, helping others, and making a difference.

I love seeing Texans get value out of the tools we build. It's awesome to know something we worked on made electricity shopping easier and less stressful for someone. That's the part that makes the work feel worth doing. Outside of work I've got two young boys, so most of my free time goes to them. The rest goes to my reef tank, which is a weirdly addictive hobby. I especially love designing tools and automations for my tanks.

I love working at Compare Power because our mission is simple, help consumers find an electric plan that offers real value, without the hassle. After several years in the deregulated energy space, I still find it rewarding to help people navigate the system and land on the right plan for their home or business. Outside of work, I'm spending time with my wife and learning the ropes as a proud girl dad. I stay active with workouts, golf when I can find the time, and walks with my Sheepadoodle, Muffin...though most days it's more like she's walking me.

As an IT Architect at ComparePower, I solve the problems behind the scenes and build the solutions that make our features actually work. What drives me is knowing the thing I build reaches a real person on the other end. It's not abstract. We make something that genuinely helps someone and, ideally, that they enjoy using. That's the whole point for me. I also don't do shortcuts or half measures. I'd rather do it right the first time than clean it up later, and I take real pride in that. Outside of work, I'm usually on a basketball court or on a trip somewhere with my family. At home you'll find me playing with my Great Dane or tinkering with my home lab, because I'm a nerd at heart and messing around with tech is genuinely how I like to spend my free time.

What I enjoy most about working at Compare Power is that we're never satisfied with "good enough." We're constantly looking for better ways to serve our customers, challenge ourselves, and grow as a team. I'm extremely passionate about helping people succeed...whether that's a customer finding the right electricity or internet plan or a team member reaching their full potential, which I have the privilege of doing every single day. Knowing we're making life a little easier for our customers while helping our team grow and succeed is what makes this work so meaningful to me. At the end of the day, being part of a company that embraces innovation while genuinely caring about the customer experience is what motivates me most. Outside of work, I'm always looking for a great new restaurant...especially if brunch is on the menu. I love spending time with my husband, our three children and four rowdy grandsons, whether we're playing Rock Band together or playing board games and making memories at our random pop-up style family gatherings. I'm also a creative at heart and enjoy event planning, painting, crafting, and creating Cake Boss-style cakes. The thing I'm most proud of is my family and the relationships we've built together. They're my greatest accomplishment and my biggest source of inspiration.

At Compare Power, I love how fast our team moves. We're an outlier in a traditionally slow-moving industry, delivering product advancements that make a real difference for our customers' businesses in a fraction of the usual time. Our team is made up of professionals who push each other to be better every day. That energy is contagious, and I strive to match the excellence of the people around me. Outside of work, I recently welcomed my first son, Witten, into the world. My family spends weekends at the baseball fields, getting outdoors whenever we can, and trying out new recipes in the kitchen or on the grill.

What drives me is follow- through: staying organized, being consistent, and making sure clients never feel like just another account. Unequivocally, the most rewarding aspect of my job is the continual opportunity of empowering people through the power of choice! Fun fact about me is I own a Trucking company with my husband. I approach this job enthusiastically as if it were my own business. I am also an empty nester who is learning to navigate this new journey and Compare Power has been such a haven! My sons are incredibly successful in the Logistics space with an industrial automation & digitalization conglomerate. As you can tell, I am an incredibly proud mom. When I am not in Dallas, I spend my time in West Texas with my parents who I am incredibly blessed to have the privilege to enjoy. I own land in New Mexico that we love to visit and that is a continual work in progress. I am grateful to have built an incredible life I get to enjoy!

Ellie Rose joined the Compare Power family before most of the team did, and she has never once let us forget it. She is a Schnoodle with strong opinions about nap schedules, snack timing, and which laps are worth occupying. When she is not supervising operations from the couch, Ellie Rose enjoys walks, being carried when the walks get too long, and greeting strangers as though she has been waiting her whole life to meet them specifically. She is skeptical of scuba diving, has no interest in aviation, and considers the best travel destination to be wherever her food bowl is. Her hobbies include being adorable and accepting compliments graciously.

Although my time at Compare Power has been brief, I've already come to appreciate the company's culture and the team's passion for making an impact. I'm driven by continuous improvement and thrive on competition, always looking for opportunities to grow and take on new challenges. A strong work ethic and commitment to excellence, instilled by my father, have shaped both my personal and professional life. These values also led me to join my fraternity, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated, whose motto, "Achievement in Every Field of Human Endeavor," reflects my own approach to success. I am originally from New Orleans, Louisiana and recently relocated to the DFW area. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my fiancé, connecting with friends, playing video games, watching and playing sports, and traveling. I'm also an avid TV fan and always welcome new recommendations. Last but not least, I'm excited to continue exploring the area and what it has to offer.

I believe Compare Power fills a real need for Texas residents, and it's a genuinely great product to stand behind. What drives my work excellence is the people, both the coworkers who push me to be better every day and the relationships I get to build out in the field. My sales approach is relational rather than transactional, and I'm a people person at my core, so getting to meet and build real relationships with real estate agents, brokers, lenders, and property managers isn't just something I'm passionate about, it's my ideal work setting. Outside of work, most of my creative energy goes into writing. I co-wrote a book called Lost In The Abyss with a friend and I'm currently working on the sequels. I also spend time writing spec scripts for TV shows and movie scripts, since that's genuinely my biggest creative passion. I'm a basketball fan (Washington Wizards) and an NFL fan (Washington Commanders, for better or worse). I'm also a big movie guy, my favorite is The Place Beyond The Pines, and I make time for regular game nights with friends. Something I'm proud of is finishing that first book and actually following through on the sequels instead of letting it die as a one-off project.

Compare Power’s foundation stopped me in my tracks — a mission that actually means something, solving a real problem for real people at one of the most stressful moments in their lives: moving day. After more than a decade in multifamily PropTech watching that moment get ignored — residents scrambling to set up electricity and a dozen other essentials on their own, properties with no visibility and no way to help — I knew this was where I was supposed to be. I jumped in to help build the partnership side of the business, and I haven’t looked back. What drives me is the long game — the relationships, the trust, the moment a deal clicks and you know it’s going to make moving day better for thousands of residents. I’m proud of the life I’ve built, the relationships I’ve kept, and the fact that I never stopped being curious. Outside the office, I’m most alive when I’m somewhere new — chasing new cultures and food and bringing a little of it back with me. I’m also a proud Arkansan and a die-hard Razorback fan. You’ll find me with my family and dogs — at the beach, on the golf course, out on the river, or relaxing at a rock bar.

I strive for excellence because I value being someone my team can rely on and because I take pride in producing work that is accurate, thoughtful, and makes a positive impact. When I'm not here, you can find me; traveling, exploring new cuisines, spending time with friends and family, and playing pickleball. These hobbies help me stay active, curious, and connected. I'm grateful it gives me opportunities to create meaningful memories and continuously learn from new experiences.

When Texans search for better electricity rates, Compare Power shows up. That's what I do, along with making sure everything works when you find us. What drives me is helping Texans understand this market well enough to never get burned by it. I've had a hand in most of what you see on this site, and we're nowhere near done. I'm a longtime martial artist, a hobbyist DJ, photographer, and a frequent traveler. What I'm most proud of lately is a memoir I co-wrote with my father about his years as a diplomat and our life before and after communism fell in Albania.
