If I could give zero stars, I would. The name itself says no deposit required. So one can safely assume that all the companies you are going to compare and show me should not require a deposit. However, the first one I click goes all the way to the end and wants me to put in my social for a credit check to see if I am eligible for no deposit.

I got postpaid electric with no deposit, and I have no credit.. It's been a long time since I shopped around for electricity, there are so many plans and I was really hund up in which one to choose. I visited quite a few sites, but this ComparePower made it the easiest for me. I don't really have a lot of credit and the first company I applied for required a deposit and the second one denied me completely but I found the right one on my third try. The best part was that I filled out my info and ComparePower made it so easy to do the whole application process. I ended up getting the best deal on here for the size house we are in. The rates I got locked in with on here are actually better then the rates the actual company I got has on their own website. I did the whole application and was approved and my electricity was on a couple hours later. It was very convenient, I'm not one to ever leave reviews but my experience with ComparePower rally compelled me to leave a review. I ended up getting power with 4ChangeEnergy with no deposit and Frontier Energy wanted a $275 deposit and Just Energy didn't even want to do business with me. So if you don't have much credit like me or have bad credit maybe you should look into them. They have the best rates as well

Wonderful website! You can compare plans, even compare plans according to your personal usage for the last year, and then sign up for your new provider right from the site and set your contract start date. This was much more seamless than I ever could have expected.
