Bill Credit Optimizer
We tell you exactly what to do to hit your bill credit. Or when to skip it.
Most tiered plans offer $50-75 bill credits at 1,000 kWh. Miss it by 10 kWh? You get nothing. We track your usage in real-time and tell you exactly when to run your dryer, dishwasher, or pool pump--and when the math says don't bother.
- Real-time tracking toward your credit tier
- Actionable alerts: "Run dryer 2 hours" not just "you used 847 kWh"
- Cost-benefit analysis: Is it worth trying?
- Appliance-specific recommendations
- Works with any tiered or bucket plan

How We Do The Math (So You Don't Have To)
This isn't magic. It's sixth-grade math that nobody wants to do at 10pm when they're tired. We do it automatically, 24/7.
We Know Your Plan
When you enroll through us, we know exactly which plan you're on--credit tiers, thresholds, and values. No guessing.
We Track Real-Time Usage
Live Link pulls your smart meter data every 15 minutes. We know exactly where you stand, not where you were yesterday.
We Calculate the Gap
Days left x your daily average = projected usage. We compare that to your credit threshold and calculate the gap.
We Do the Cost-Benefit Math
Gap x your rate = cost to reach credit. If credit value > cost + $5 buffer, we say go for it. If not, we say skip it.
We Give You Specific Actions
Not "use more electricity." We say: "Run your dryer for 2 hours." We know typical appliance consumption and give you real suggestions.
We Alert You at the Right Time
Too early and you forget. Too late and you can't act. We alert 3-5 days before cycle end--enough time to act, close enough to be accurate.
The Actual Math (Transparent, Always)
When We Say "Go For It"
Our Alert:
"Run your dryer (~2.5 hours) and dishwasher (~1 hour). Cost: ~$18. Credit: $50. Net win: +$32."
When We Say "Skip It"
Our Alert:
"Skip it. You'd spend $40 to get $50. Net benefit only $10--not worth 3 days of effort."
Appliance Energy Guide
When we say "run your dryer," here's the math behind it.
Clothes Dryer
3.0 kWh/hr
Electric dryer, ~1 load = 1 hour
Dishwasher
1.5 kWh/cycle
Per full cycle with dry
Pool Pump
2.5 kWh/hr
Variable speed pumps use less
EV Charger
7.0 kWh/hr
Level 2 charger
Space Heater
1.5 kWh/hr
1500W heater
Oven
2.5 kWh/hr
Electric oven at 350F
Example: Need 150 kWh? That's roughly 50 hours of dryer time (over several days), or 100 dishwasher cycles, or 20 hours of EV charging. We calculate the most practical combination.
Real Members, Real Results
"Got the alert: "47 kWh short, run dryer 2 loads." Did exactly that. $50 credit hit. Net gain: $44. This feature alone is worth signing up for."

"Last month it told me NOT to try because I was too far behind. Saved me from wasting $35 in electricity chasing a $50 credit I'd never hit."
Jennifer L.

"I was missing my bill credit 4-5 months a year. Since using the optimizer, I've hit it every single month. That's $250/year I was leaving on the table."

Frequently Asked Questions
How do you know my plan's credit structure?
When you enroll through Compare Power, we capture your exact plan details--including credit tiers, thresholds, and values. We read the EFL so you don't have to. If you have an existing plan and connect Live Link, we can often identify your plan from provider data.
What if I have a plan with multiple credit tiers?
We track all tiers. Some plans have credits at 1,000 kWh AND 2,000 kWh. We'll tell you which tier is achievable and worth pursuing based on your projected usage. If you're at 950 kWh, we focus on the 1,000 tier. If you're at 1,850, we focus on 2,000.
How accurate are the appliance estimates?
Our estimates are based on typical appliance consumption data from the Department of Energy. Your actual appliances may vary, but we're usually within 10-15%. We give you a buffer in our recommendations--if we say "run dryer 2 hours," you'll likely overshoot slightly, which is fine.
What if I don't have a dryer or pool pump?
We suggest multiple options. No dryer? Run the dishwasher extra cycles, use a space heater, or just run your AC a couple degrees cooler. We give you the kWh target--you pick the appliance that makes sense for you.
Why wouldn't I always try to hit the credit?
Math. If you need 350 kWh and your rate is 11.5 cents, that's $40.25 in electricity to get a $50 credit. Net benefit: $9.75. Is it worth running appliances for 3 days to save $10? Probably not. We do this calculation so you don't have to.
Stop Missing Your Bill Credits
You're leaving $50-75 on the table every time you miss a credit tier. We track your usage, do the math, and tell you exactly what to do--or when to skip it. Enroll through Compare Power and get instant access.
